Kozar Engineering provides services to the many grain elevators on the shores of Lake Superior and beyond. Kozar Engineering assists local elevators by providing timely services for maintenance and operations as well as design services for expansion programs.

Kozar Engineering understands that the grain industry operates around the clock and down time provides significant logistical challenges. We provide emergency services and can engage a team of experts quickly to ensure that the plant is up and operational as soon as possible. Kozar Engineering currently sits as President at the local GEAPS chapter and values the insights and relationships formed through the association.  Kozar Engineering is licenced to practice Engineering in Canada’s primary grain provinces including Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

Cleaner Set Installation

Kozar Engineering provided the engineering and detailed design for the installation of new grain rotary and indent cleaners at a local grain elevator. Due to the nature of bin storage and cleaning equipment, optimizing the use of the available space while avoiding existing infrastructure was especially challenging. 3D laser scanning and models were used in the design phase to identify clashes and layout the equipment.

Cleaner Replacement/Air Needs Assessment

Kozar Engineering Inc. was retained to complete the detailed design for product cleaner replacement and an air needs assessment for dust control for a local grain terminal. The existing cleaners were being replaced with new grain and indent cleaners with a total revamp of the approach and discharge flow from the floor including existing dust control rationalization. A 3D scan and point cloud rendering was used to provide the design team with the field information to replace the equipment within the limited floor space.   Air systems testing was performed to rationalize the dust control equipment from existing three filters down to two new filters to handle all capacity from the floor.  A structural assessment was completed to support the two new duct filters over existing workhouse.
